Leadership Tulare is a program of the Tulare Chamber that is designed to develop and sustain leaders within our community. The purpose of the program is to provide a dynamic and stimulating forum to prepare, involve and expose a culturally diverse group who are committed and competent to address the challenges of our community. If you are interested in contributing and giving back to your community, then Leadership Tulare is for you!

The Leadership Tulare program helps develop individuals who want to become knowledgeable about the City of Tulare and are concerned about its well-being. The program is a unique opportunity for participants to increase their understanding of the complex social and economic issues of Tulare. Participants are exposed to the challenges facing Tulare and how they, as individuals, can respond to community concerns. Individuals selected to participate in leadership Tulare will explore new ways of interacting with the community. It means purposely seeking a wider span of awareness. Participants are challenged to learn about and experience leadership by:

• Examining leadership styles
• Evaluating issues and exploring solutions
• Challenging viewpoints
• Stimulating thought
• Understanding the process of consensus
• Taking action in the community
